Long ago, the human world and the spirit world existed side by side. Humans walked among faeries, trolls, strange creatures and old magic, and the wild places belonged to both worlds at once.

As humans began to change, the spirit world drew itself away for protection, and a veil formed between the two. In time, the old paths were forgotten, and the spirits became little more than folklore.

But the other world remains, hidden just out of sight. And if you listen very closely, you may hear the Hartsong — the ancient song that can lead you through the veil and back again.
